Welcome to Mavericks Diving. We hope you enjoy our little internet tour of the shop. Why not come and visit us? We are a fully-stocked shop for diving, snorkelling, underwater photography, freediving and spearfishing equipment..... We carry a wide range of masks, snorkels and fins in sizes to fit anyone... We have a selection of suits for all climates. We are able to advise you on the most appropriate suit for your needs and we have a changing room for you to try them on in privacy. Uniquely, we also carry the Picasso range of un-lined freediving wetsuits. These wetsuits allow you to wear a thinner suit than normal because they don't have an internal lining. The trade-off is durabilty, but with care these suits will last years. Both Steve and AJ own Picasso suits, but they prefer to point out that people like shark-man Andre Hartman use them. Our regulators range includes Aqualung and Dacor. We like to supply all of our regulators with the DIN tank adapter. We provide the A-clamp yoke so that you will be able to use your regulator anywhere in the world. If you're wondering why we choose DIN, it's in the regulators article by Steve.

We stock Sea Quest and Dacor BCDs in a range of sizes so that you can find the one that is right for you. In line with the Mavericks philosophy, we will take the time with you to ensure that not only is it the most appropriate model for your diving, but that it fits correctly and is comfortable. You'll find this out when the BCD is loaded with a tank and weights - we'll do this in the shop.

Divers need more than just the main items of equipment. At Mavericks you'll find a wide range of accessories. As this has only been a brief introduction to the shop, we haven't covered everything in stock - things like computers, knives, tanks, watches, and many more items that you'll find in store, and can read about in the equipment section of the website. We have a broad range of books on offer, from log books, to instructional books, to destinations, to coffee table books; any of which would make great presents. We are very fortunate that many of the world's top underwater image makers are friends and clients of ours. As such we often have the privilege of book signings at the shop. Here is a short note from one such photographer... Mavericks are proud to be able to display a small but significant part of diving history. We have our own collection of historical diving equipment and we love to meet other people who are as enthused by these things as we are. Many of the items from the museum have been used by us recently, and will be used again soon, when we go off on our historical diving jollies. We believe that where it won't damage the items, our collection pieces are not just for looking at. There are a couple of areas in the shop set aside for sitting down for a coffee. It seems like a good way to have a relaxed chat and gather any advice before committing to purchases. It also provides a place for our visitors to meet others with a similar interest - who knows who might pop in while you're in.
