INON Fibre Optics Strobe Cables

INON use fibre optic cables to trigger theirD-2000, S-2000 and Z-240 strobes. The S-2000 is also capable of wireless operation via a mirror system; however through water triggering can be unreliable as slave guns rely on seeing the pulse of light from your cameras built in flash to operate. Bright sunlight and awkward angles can create conditions that prevent the slave gun seeing this pulse and prevent it firing. Using a cable overcomes these problems and ensures your INON strobe will fire every time.

The INON Z- 240 strobe can be configured with an INON fibre optic cable or a Sea and Sea hard wired cable depending upon the housing it will be used with. INON fibre optic cables have proven extremely rugged and rarely need to be replaced. The INON fibre optic cable attaches to your housing securely via a dedicated connector. The connector is already set up to accept a second strobe for advanced strobe photography.

INON’s clear film photo set

Compact underwater cameras in housings usually depend upon firing their internal flash to fire an external underwater strobe such as the INON D-2000, S-2000 or INON Z- 240. Firing the internal flash can create problems though. If allowed to fire forwards into the water column you may get backscatter from suspended particles and cross lighting from having it and the external strobe lighting your subject from different angles.

INON’s clear film photo set eliminates these problems. A filter fits easily and quickly over your cameras built in flashgun for underwater photography. This converts the white light from your cameras flash to infra red. Infra red cannot travel through water for any distance. It only travels far enough to trigger your INON D-2000, S-2000 or INON Z- 240 underwater strobe via its INON fibre optic cable. The INON clear film photo set is easily and swiftly removed for surface photography.
