The festival has moved this year from the usual Juan-les-Pins area of Antibes to the old port. This is only a short distance away, and won't make much difference to the length of the taxi ride from Nice airport.

If you've been to the festival before, then you don't need to read about the images on display, films through the day, exhibitors, competitions (with parties for competitors), the chance to meet everyone from enthusiasts to world-renowned underwater photographers, to be sold on it. If you haven't, then by way of a heads up, it is a great event and the way forward is to enter one or more of the competitions. There is only a small fee for this and it gives you an unlimted entry pass as well as an invite to the awards ceremony and the party! Please note that the shop will be closed for this weekend as the Mavericks' team won't miss this opportunity to have a great time and get a few shore dives in. We'll be entering the competitions and going to the party in the evening. During the day we'll mostly be hanging around the festival - chatting to everyone from old dive buddies to top underwater imagemakers - everyone's a friend at Antibes. We won't be around the festival all the time, though - we like to use this opporunity to don some of our historical diving equipment and jump in off the beach.
