US Divers' fins offer size adjustment, so if you have kids some growing room is built in. So, with luck, they'll get to enjoy it over several holidays. Often, we can also provide a mask a child can use into adulthood.

Junior Java Snorkelling Set

This stylish outfit is made for the younger snorkeller. It includes the Java mask, Tropic snorkel and Rip fins, all contained in a mesh carry bag. Sizing is based on foot size. The choices are small, covering children's sizes 28-31, and large for sizes 31-35. The Java mask is compact with a tempered safety glass lens. The strap is easily adjusted. The Tropic snorkel has a self draining valve to help make clearing the snorkel of water nearly effortless---most of the water drains away automatically as you surface. The Rip fins are small and light and very easy to swim with. The carry bag keeps all your kit together and lets it air-dry nasturally. There's even a loop and a D ring so you can hang it up.

Proflex Adult Snorkelling Set

The US Divers Proflex snorkelling set includes the Cozumel face mask, Seabreeze snorkel and Proflex II fins. The Cozumel is a classically styled face mask providing a wide field of view so you can see more. The strap is easily adjusted for the proper fit. The US Divers Seabreeze snorkel features a self-draining valve that clears any water that enters the tube with just a gentle exhalation. The Proflex II fins are quite powerful, but also easy on your legs, so they are very comfortable to use for a beginner.

The Proflex set is available in five sizes: small covers sizes 38-40; medium 40-42; medium/large from 42-44; large covers 44-46, and extra-large covers 46-48.

Deluxe Adult Snorkelling Set

The Mavericks Diving Deluxe Adult Snorkelling Set offers performance features at a budget price from a marque brand. The mask is the wraparound US Divers Cortez LX. This mask features side windows that greatly increase your peripheral vision. You'll see much more of your surroundings. The snorkel is the new US Divers Hydro Air II. This uses special valving that helps ensure any water entering the barrel is instantly vented. You can be confident that every breath you take will be air and not sea water. Hydro Split fins use special twin blade technology, as used in luxury scuba fins. The propellor effect provide lots of thrust, so you can go long distances and swim swiftly without tiring. A US Divers Coast Bag lets you keep all your equipment neatly stowed until needed and has a rucksack strap for the walk to the beach.

Cortez LX Mask

The Cortez LX is a larger mask, which some divers find more comfortable than smaller masks that can create pressure points on their nose or forehead. The side windows usually provide better peripheral vision than standard masks.

Avalon Mask

The Avalon is a compact mask with side panels that increase vision out to your sides.

Cozumel Mask

A traditional low-volume face mask. A good choice if you plan to dive down to any depth as it requires very little air from your lungs to equalise.

Java Mask

A compact, traditionally styled face mask for smaller faces.

Corrective Lenses

Need Eyesight Correction?

Your US Divers facemask and most other models of mask that Mavericks Diving stock can be fitted with lenses to correct your eyesight. For US Divers masks we can provide custom ground prescription lenses for near or far sight as well as bi-focals. We also offer simple stick-in reading lenses in strengths of +1 to +3 dioptres.

Fins

Proflex II Fins

A contemporary designed, dual-composite fin for excellent power and styling. The soft enclosed-heel foot pocket provides a snug and comfortable fit. Features a long blade with dual-composite fin rails for enhanced snap and thrust.

Hydrosplit Fins

Split fin designs are known for providing a lot of propulsion for little effort. The US Divers Hydrosplits are very easy on your legs, so they are fine for beginners. The heel strap lets you adjust the fin for a perfect fit. Available in two sizes: small/medium for sizes 38-42; and large/extra-large for sizes 43-48.

Rip Fins

A small fin for young children that's fine for snorkelling and great for pool games and swimming. Adjustable strap. Available in sizes 28-31 and 31-35.

Snorkels

Fiji Snorkel

Traditional J-shaped tube. Swivel mouthpiece for comfort. Day-Glo top for visibility. To attach the Fiji to your mask strap you need to unthread the strap first. It's a hassle. We recommend picking up a snorkel retainer so you can simply unclip your Fiji from your mask for storage without bothering with the mask strap business!

Tropic Snorkel

The Tropic is an excellent snorkel for a beginner. Any water that enters the tube, either by accident or because you finned down to look at something, drains almost completely as you surface. Just a gentle exhalation will clear any remaining water from the special reservoir and exhaust valve in the mouthpiece. An anti-splash guard on the snorkel top helps prevents water splashing into the tube while you are at the surface. The Day-Glo top helps make you visible. A clip lets you easily remove your Tropic from your mask for storage.

Sea Breeze Snorkel

The Sea Breeze uses a self-draining valve to automatically clear water entering the tube during your dive as you surface. Only a little water will remain and this is easily cleared with a soft exhalation. A splash guard top helps prevent water entering the Sea Breeze while you are swimming at the surface. The Day-Glo top helps makes you visible to boats and a snap clip makes the Sea Breeze easy to remove from your mask strap for storage.

Hydro Air II

The US Divers Hydroair II snorkel is designed to give you a dry breathe with maximum comfort on every dive. A special valve fitted near the top diverts any inadvertent splashes that enter the barrel out of the breathing tube before it can even get near the mouthpiece. When you deliberately duck dive to observe marine life below the surface, the US Divers Hydroair clears almost automatically as you break the surface. The water swiftly runs out of a simple and reliable mushroom valve below the mouthpiece. Any residual water clears with your next gentle exhalation. These two valves are what makes the US Divers Hydroair such a dry snorkel to use and ensures you won't unexpectedly get a mouthful of seawater.

On long snorkel swims or on days when you make a lot of dives, you want to be comfortable. The US Divers Hydroair has a special flex section that lets the mouthpiece move more easily and helps it line up with your own jaw line. So you don't find that your mouth is fighting an unyielding snorkel. The mouthpiece itself is formed from soft, hypoallergenic silicone. This helps prevent discomfort that "hard" mouthpieces can cause to your mouth.

A clip is provided that secures your US divers Hydroair snorkel to your mask strap for diving, but is easily removed for storage.

Underwater Cameras

The Snap Sights Sports camera is a reloadable 35 mm camera in a watertight and dustproof housing, rated to 30 m. It's ideal for getting a few mementoes from clear water diving destinations and is very simple to use. it features a moderately wide angle lens of 28 mm, flip-up frame finder and built in flash to help restore colours in the foreground. Freediving

Freediving is essentially a more advanced form of snorkelling. Freedivers tend to seek out specialist training and use special techniques that allow them to make longer and deeper dives than casual snorkellers. Many freedivers can comfortably breathold for three or more minutes and dive to depths in excess of 30 metres. Freedivers cite many reasons for pursuing this passion. For some it is a personal challenge to find out what they are physically and mentally able to achieve. Often these divers compete and world records for freediving stand at over 120 metres for depth and more than six minutes by time. Others find a spiritual side (meditation techniques are used by many successful freedivers). For some, freediving is simply a requirement---for many underwater photographers and film makers, breath hold diving is the only practical way to approach shy animals such as many of the great whales. Freediving is also usually the choice of spearfishermen, hoping to catch their own seafood.
