Mavericks Diving offers Aqua Lung steel cylinders to its clients. Steel offers many benefits over aluminium. Steel is much stronger allowing wall thicknesses around half of those of aluminium alloy. This produces a cylinder which is lighter for the same capacity. It is also much more compact. This means you have less weight to carry on land and also need less lead in the water. The tough metal also resists dings much better than alloy, which is soft. Steel cylinders are also much less prone to problems with neck threads being damaged when tank valves are removed during routine inspections and testing.

The Aqua Lung cylinder range is extensive. There's a choice of capacities and working pressures. Some cylinders are available in two lengths, allowing smaller divers to have a shorter tank. This makes it easier to sit while fully kitted or set your tank higher or lower for pitch control underwater---real world benefits.

MDE valves provide high flow rates, are balanced for easy opening and closing and feature elliptical taps to make them easy to grip with wet or cold hands.
