Mangrove Gloombusters
Mangrove exploration and mini exploration lights offer the serious diver many design advantages. Mangrove lights are manufactured from aluminium for durability and lightness. They are driven by memory-free nickel metal hydride cells (NiMH) which are considered to be the state of the art power cells for high-end dive lights and they are quickly and easily disassembled for bulb replacement, switching reflectors and air travel, should you be asked to open the unit. All Mangrove lights feature double O-ring seals, locking magnetic switches and interchangeable reflectors for use either as exploration lights or for shooting underwater video.
Mangrove Halogen Lights
Mangrove C2 Halogen
This ultra-compact light outputs 26 watts for around sixty minutes. The narrow beam is ideal for day diving when you want to search under overhangs and in crevices. Despite its low cost, the Mangrove C2 Halogen even sports a choice of two power levels (100% and 60%), so you can turn the light down if it's too bright or to extend burn time.
Mangrove Compact C4 Halogen
The Mangrove Compact C4 Halogen offers the adventurous diver a full 50 watts output. This makes for a very effective tool for night diving, penetration dives or bringing out colours during day dives. For general use, a medium beam reflector is included. By adding a video reflector, you have a light with enough power for filming as well. At full power you'll get an hour's use. You can extend this by choosing the low power setting (60%).
Mangrove HID (High Intensity Discharge) Exploration Lights
HID (High Intensity Discharge) lighting offers significant advantages over traditional bulb technology, such as halogen. The benefits centre on a more efficient bulb providing around three times greater output than an equivalent halogen type. To get the output of a 150 watt halogen light, only a 50 watt HID lamp is required. Because a lower wattage bulb can be used, battery life is greatly extended. You can enjoy high power lighting while minimising weight and bulk. This makes the light easier to carry abroad and creates less drag underwater. HID lights offer a colour temperature that is near sunlight. This maximises penetration through the water, so you can see farther, and lets you see truer colours. It also makes them more suitable for video lighting for which a video reflector is needed to widen the beam angle.
Mangrove Compact C2 HID
The Mangrove C2 HID lamp is extremely compact, yet produces the equivalent of a 30 watt halogen bulb from its 10 watt HID bulb. Burn time is two hours.
Mangrove Compact C4 HID
This is a very high output hand-held exploration lamp. It's an excellent choice for the professional divemaster guiding at night, in wrecks and through caverns. On full power, the Mangrove Compact C4-H runs for just over an hour. With two additional power settings (80% and 70%) you can gain extra burn time for only a small drop in illumination.
Mangrove PS9H50 Canister Light
The Mangrove PS9H50 is aimed at the adventurous diver demanding exceptional light output, long burn times and an easily handled light head. With a HID bulb of 50 watts, the output from this exploration light matches that of a 150 watt halogen lamp. Burn time is two hours. The lamp head is aluminium for durability in tough environments. An M8 mount lets you choose how you carry the lamp head with options including pistol grips, Goodman handles and camera/DPV attachments. The cannister is rugged and double O-ring sealed. There's a neoprene protective sleeve included and a solidly built clip for attaching the pack to your tank or harness.
