It's important that you choose your BCD carefully because of the many and vital roles it will play. Your BCD must carry your scuba system, and possibly, weights as well. So you could easily be supporting over 30 kg across your back, shoulders and hips. Especially if you shore dive, a comfortable BCD is a must have. For a BCD to be effective and safe it must also fit properly. You need to try your preferred jacket for proper sizing. The BCD harness will also probably be the mounting point for accessories including torches, reels, marker buoys and cameras. Having enough attachment points and roomy pockets in the right place (what's right varies with the individual) is also an important consideration. Controls need to fall easily to hand---you don't want to be in a fast descent or end up ascending uncontrollably because you cannot easily locate your inflation and dump valves.
Weight integration is a popular feature. You need to be sure you are proficient in ditching your weight system---because if you do ever have to, it is something you'll need to do FAST. The air cell must also lift your face clear of the water at the surface, yet keep you near horizontal under the water, a conflict for the BCD designer. And the air cell must have sufficient buoyancy for the type of cylinders you use, the thickest foam neoprene suit you'll dive in and for the depth you'll be working at. Finally, owning a top of the line BCD does not make your buoyancy skills perfect. Good instruction and lots of practice might. Mavericks Diving is developing precision buoyancy control courses that will help you master descent and ascent rates, show you how to minimise your use of your BCD through proper weighting and breath control and help you balance your equipment and BCD for perfect trim.
- Exceptionally comfortable out of water due to self-adjusting lumbar support, load distributing harness and extensive padding
- Sure Lock weight integration keeps weights secure---but can be instantly jettisoned with one deliberate release action
- Convenience features include hip operated bum dump, trim control weight pockets, built in accessory retractor and squeeze lock knife as standard
- Selected for Mavericks Dive School

Comfort first. The Pro Unlimited offers a thought through harness design with plenty of scope for custom adjustments together with extensive padding.
The shoulder straps are routed to transfer the weight of your all-up set (tank, regulator, weights and accessories) from your shoulders to your hips . Spreading the weight helps avoid discomfort. Swivels on the shoulder straps automatically move with your shoulders to avoid chafing and allow freedom of movement without irritation.
Heavy padding runs from under the shoulders, down the back and out to the kidneys. This provides a great deal of comfort out of the water, especially when heavily laden. In the water is also grips the diver preventing the cylinder from "rolling" the jacket and creating instability.
The lower spine area features the Sea Quest self adjusting lumbar support. Foam pads automatically fill in the gap in the small of your back.
The lower backpack can also be raised and lowered to suit your height.
The cummerbund is closed with Velcro. It is elasticated to take up slack that is created as your suit thins with depth. This helps ensure your BCD and tank stay form-fitted to you. Otherwise the tank can start moving around, upsetting your balance and your control.
There's a waist belt for additional security. The buckle can be adjusted letting you choose whether you prefer to centre the release or keep it off to one side.
A chest strap prevents the BCD from slipping off your shoulders. It has height adjustment, so if you use a drysuit you can set it so it is clear of your inflation valve.
The buoyancy control on the Pro Unlimited is excellent thanks to a combination of the air cell design, the integrated weight layout and control placement.
The air cell is the traditional ADV style. When you are swimming horizontally, air fills the channels either side of your tank. When you are surfacing and vertical the air moves to the top of the air cell. At the surface adding air will inflate the chambers around your waist and "push" you up so that your head and shoulders are clear of the water. An ADV tends to keep you upright on the surface, rather than pushing you onto your face as a wing can do.
The Pro Unlimited incoporates the Sea Quest Sure Lock weight system. This does away with a conventional weight belt and places the weights a little higher and off your hips. The higher the weights the less inclined the diver is to assume a head up, fins down attitude. Getting horizontal increases streamlining, reducing the effort you have to make to cut through the water and decreasing your breathing rate, which means your gas will last longer.
The Sure Lock mechanism is designed to ensure that your weights can be jettisioned almost instantly in an emergency by either you or another diver. The weights are loaded into two special pockets. These slot into the BCD, keeping your profile clean and minimising drag. You can place the weights into your Pro Unlimited after you've kitted up. So you can carry your weights seperately to the boat or water's edge if you prefer.

Two additional trim pockets are concealed in the back of the jacket, just behind your shoulders. These are meant for small weights to help you get that perfect positioning under water. Basically they tip you forward, helping to counter balance the natural tendency to float slightly feet down.
The Pro Unlimited is equipped with Sea Quest's one handed power inflate/ dump mechanism. By resting your hand on the direct feed you can add gas to the jacket at the press of a button or dump instantly by pulling down on the inflater. This opens the dump built into the top of the oral inflation hose. Opposite this is a second shoulder dump. A rear dump is provided for venting in a head down attitude. Sea Quest have run the toggle for this dump to a very user friendly position on the front right hip.
The rear dump accepts the Surface Observation Signal.
The Pro Unlimited is expected to be chosen by serious divers who are likely to to want to carry specialty equipment. There are two main pockets that are zipped - large thumb loops are provided to make these easy to operate. One pocket sports a clip for attaching accessories or keys or for adding a retractor. A small pocket is also built into the cummerbund.
Six steel D rings are also mounted on the jacket. These are pre-bent so that they cannot lay flat. This makes it easier to clip on accessories one-handed.
The Pro Unlimited is supplied as standard with a concealed retractor for light accessories such as torches or instruments. This will keep the item close to your body until needed, but still allow you to hold it out at arm's length. It's a very useful addition.
Also included is a small Deep Sea Squeeze-Lock knife. This features a blunt tip, so you can't easily hurt yourself or your jacket when you replace it in it's sheath. The knife is usually worn on the Pro Unlimited's pocket. However Sea Quest also include a kit for hose mounting, so the options entirely yours.
The Pro Unlimited is expected to be an investment. Key to this is ensuring that the jacket will have a long working life. Top quality materials are used throughout. The workmanship is superb.
The Pro Unlimited is, paradoxically, one of the most expensive recreational BCDs on the market and yet also one that offers fantastic value for money.
The Pro Unlimited is available in five sizes. In order to achieve both the best fit from the size range and then to allow us to make the adjustments to customise the jacket according to your preferences, allow up to an hour.
- Hardwearing jacket offers exceptional value for money
- Sure Lock weight system keeps weights securely in place, yet instantly ditchable with just one deliberate action
- Roomy pockets and multiple D-rings provide lots of options for storing and carrying accessories for speciality diving activities

The Pro QD is designed to help you feel comfortable when carrying your tank, weights and other equipment such as lights, lift bags or cameras. The harness spreads the all-up weight from your shoulders to your hips (Sea Quest consulted with an alpine pack designer for their harness design). The pack is heavily padded. The shoulder straps automatically swivel to find the best angle for your build and to prevent chafing. The cummerbund is closed with velcro. It features elasticised panels to automatically take up slack as your neoprene suit compresses with your descent. This ensures your Pro QD always stays snug. A BCD that loosens underwater will need to be tightened or else your tank can pitch and roll causing you to become unstable. A waist belt and chest strap complete the Pro QD harness.
As you'd expect from Sea Quest, the Pro QD offers excellent buoyancy characteristics. The Advanced Design Vest styling (the ADV was created by Sea Quest over twenty years ago and is still the most popular BCD design for recreational diving) puts buoyancy either side of your tank when you are swimming on your front for superb stability under the water. On the surface with the jacket inflated air moves into the waist and pushes your head and shoulders clear of the water. If you have set up your tank and weights properly you'll float upright. This gives you good all around visibility, so you can easily see your dive boat, for example. The generous lift (14 kg in the medium size) makes this a great jacket for single tank diving in cold water using thick neoprene wet and dry suits as well as for tropical adventures.
Sea Quest have incorporated their very effective Sure Lock integrated weight system into the Pro QD. The Sure Lock does away with the need for a conventional weight belt. This can be more comfortable as you don't have heavy weights bouncing off your hips and also places the weights slightly higher on your body for better trim control. The weight pouches are quickly and easily ditched in an emergency by simply pulling on the two highly visible, oversized and non-slip grab handles. The pouches are designed so that you can easily slip them into the Pro QD while wearing the jacket. So if you prefer to carry your weights separately to the shoreline or boat, you can do. The Sure Lock works using a bayonet clip, rather than velcro, so it is virtually maintenance free. To help you achieve neutral trim, which keeps you streamlined and reduces the effort you need to fin and lowers your air consumption prolonging your dive time, the Pro QD has two small weight pockets mounted behind your shoulder blades.
The Sea Quest Pro QD naturally offers easy inflation and deflation control. Rest your left hand on the oral inflation hose and simply push the oversized inflation button to add air to your jacket. This is a progressive inflator, so the harder you press, the faster the QD inflates. Pull down on the inflator to dump air through the rapid exhaust valve on your shoulder. Because you only need one hand to control your BCD, the other is free to operate a camera or torch. A Dive Alert or Sub Alert air horn can be snapped into the direct feed hose for extra safety. An additional dump sits on the opposite shoulder and for head first descents a bum dump sits on your lower right. The rear dump can be fitted with Aqua Lung's Surface Observation Signal.
As a workhorse BCD for divers who are likely to want to carry wrecking or photographic equipment, the Pro QD harness is provided with six D-rings for clipping on accessories. Arranged from the top of your shoulders, under your arms and at hip level, you've plenty of choice for configuring your equipment the way you want it. D-rings are pre-bent, so they can't lay flat against the BCD. This seemingly minor point just makes it easier to clip on equipment with one hand. A typical Sea Quest touch.
The Pro QD is equipped with two large pockets, each accessed by a zip for security. One contains a clip for your car keys or other kit. The left pocket has eyelets installed for attaching an optional Deep Sea Squeeze Lock knife.
The Sea Quest Pro QD is expected to be dived hard and often. So it has been assembled to very high standards and only the most rugged DuPont Cordura material is used. This provides tremendous resistance to punctures and abrasion.
The Sea Quest Pro QD should be on your short list if you value comfort and durability.
- Specifically designed for the female frame from the ground up
- Sure Lock weight system keeps weights securely in place, yet easy to drop with one deliberate action
- Mini wing increases lift, providing lots of buoyancy without bulk
- Self-adjusting lumbar support and extensive padding make this a very comfortable BCD when fully laden
- Selected for Mavericks Dive School

Two areas in which the Sea Quest Dive LX differs from jackets designed for men, or jackets adapted for women from a BCD first made for men, is in the harness and the air cell. Both are key to the Sea Quest Diva LX's outstanding performance.
The harness and back pack have been developed to overcome stress points that can make BCDs uncomfortable and also to spread the weight of the equipment supported by the BCD over more of the body. An example of the Sea Quest thinking is that woman tend to have more prominent collar bones than men. This can make shoulder buckles very uncomfortable for a lady that would not be a problem for a man. Sea Quest make the shoulder buckles on the Diva LX adjustable so that they can be moved up or down the shoulder strap and off the collarbone. It's a small point, but it's attention to the small details that makes this such a comfortable jacket.
Conventional BCD shoulder straps run from either side of the neck over the divers front and attach near the lower rib cage. The angle they run at can put pressure on a lady's chest creating discomfort.
The Sea Quest Diva LX (and the Sea Quest Diva XLT) have front panels shaped like a sports bra that transfer the weight of the cylinder set by spreading it out, rather than concentrating it over one small area. This makes the all-up weight of your tank, weight system, regulator and other accessories much easier to manage comfortably, especially out of the water while walking across the beach or boat deck to get to and from the water.
The Diva LX harness also ensures that as you inflate your BCD, the air cell expands out and away from you. This prevents the Sea Quest Diva LX from squeezing on your rib cage and chest, even when fully inflated. The back packs in the Diva LX are fitted in two lengths, depending on the size of your personal jacket. This is done to create a comfortable fit for ladies, whose spines tend to be shorter than mens'. Sea Quest deemed a single length backpack to be unacceptable, even though from a manufacturing standpoint it would have been the easier route to follow.
Sea Quest have also placed their self-adjusting lumbar support into the Diva LX back pack. This automatically fills-in the hollow in the small of your back with soft foam to maximise your comfort. It helps get over the problem of backpacks being straight even though peoples' spines naturally curve!
To allow for suit compression, the LX cummerbund is fitted with compensating panels to take up any slack automatically. This feature prevents your BCD from loosening up at depth which can allow it to move around under the influence of your tank, making you unstable by shifting your centre of gravity.
Sea Quest wanted to be sure that divers using the Diva LX in temperate waters and using thick suits requiring a fair amount of weight would have more than enough buoyancy for safety. Because women are often smaller than men, there is a practical limit to how large a conventional wrap around air cell can be and how much lift it can provide. Otherwise it becomes bulky and unwieldy. Sea Quest's solution is to use their unique 3D air cell design.

Three main pockets are included. Large velcro panels make them easy to open, yet ensure they stay closed until needed. One pocket features a drop-down mesh collection bag for larger objects. Another has mounting points provided for a Deep Sea knife. The third is closed using a zip with a large thumb loop for ease of use.
The Sea Quest Diva LX is fitted with the Sea Quest Sure Lock integrated weight system. Two pouches accept shot or block weights. These can be slotted into your Diva LX before or after you put your set on. The Sure Lock mounts very securely into the jacket (you'll hear a confirmation click and feel them snap into place). They can be jettisioned almost instantly in an emergency, either by yourself or your buddy, simply by pulling on the two ripcord-style handles. The position of the weights inside your jacket helps keep you streamlined while placing them higher for better trim. It also means you can dispense with a conventional weight belt which some ladies find sit uncomfortably on their hips.
The Sea Quest Diva LX is also fitted with two weight pouches on the cylinder strap. These are used to help a diver achieve a better swimming position by counteracting the natural tendency to pitch into a slightly feet down, head up attitude. This position creates drag, which is tiring, and increases breathing leading to shorter dives. Using the trim pockets can make it much easier to assume a horizontal position.
For mounting accessories such as safety tubes, reels, torches or cameras, the Diva LX is equipped with four heavy duty stainless steel D rings.
Sea Quest have provided the Diva LX with convenient one-handed inflation/ deflation. By resting your hand on the direct feed you can inflate by pressing a button and deflate by simply pulling down on the inflator unit. This opens the dump valve built into the top of the oral inflation hose. An additional dump is provided on your opposite shoulder and a rear dump is fitted for times when you are head down. The rear dump can be fitted with the Aqua Lung Surface Observation Signal. This compact high-visibility safety tube stows neatly on the back of your Sea Quest Diva LX until needed. At the surface simply pulling its ripcord and fully inflating your Diva LX causes the Aqua Lung Surface Observation Signal to automatically unfurl from its valise and fill with air. It can then be clipped to a D ring ensuring it stays upright. The 1.2 metre high safety tube will then alert your boat crew to pick you up.
The Sea Quest Diva LX is intended to be an investment in safety, comfort and practicality. Sea Quest have only used the best materials to ensure that the jacket has a long working life, even with heavy use.
The Sea Quest Diva LX is available in five sizes. A fititng is very important to ensure your BCD will be comfortable. Allow up to an hour for us to show you over the Sea Quest Dive LX properly and to make the adjustments to the custom features for you.
- Specifically tailored to the female form from the outset of its design
- Xtra Lift Technology provides lots of buoyancy with minimal bulk and drag
- Includes integrated weight system and trim weights for perfect attitude control

XLT stands for extra Xtra Lift Technology. Although the Diva XLT looks much like a traditional ADV styled jacket, appearances are deceiving. A special gusset built into the floatation chamber adds additional buoyancy without adding noticeable bulk and drag. This means that a medium sized Sea Quest Diva XLT offers a full 15 kg of buoyancy.
Sea Quest have put a lot of thought into designing a harness and backpack that work together to keep the all-up weight of your tank, weights and diving accessories comfortable, especially out of the water. By combining a sports bra with shoulder straps, Sea Quest have eliminated the need for a chest strap. This does away with the discomfort some ladies feel these create. The XLT transfers most of the weight away from your shoulders and spreads it mostly onto your hips. The shoulder straps swivel automatically to find the most comfortable position for your build and the buckle can be moved up and down to keep it off your collarbone. The back pack is shorter than a man's BCD, reflecting the shorter spine many ladies have. The pack is rigid, helping to keep the tank secure, but also generously padded from shoulder to waist for your comfort. Especially when shore diving, you'll appreciate the Diva XLT when you're loaded down with kit.
The harness is completed with a wide, Velcro closed cummerbund. This is elasticated to automatically take up any slack as your neoprene wet or dry suit compresses on descent. This keeps your tank close to your body, so it won't roll and cause instability during deeper dives.
The ADV (Advanced Design Vest) styling provides excellent buoyancy characteristics under the water combined with great surface flotation. When properly weighted, air in the BCD runs either side of your tank when swimming or hovering horizontally and gives you stability. At the surface, inflating the BCD drives air into the lobes around your waist and pushes you clear of the water. They also counterbalance the tank and, when trimmed properly, ensure you float high and upright. This gives you good all-round visibility, so you can more easily see your boat. It also means you don't have to kick to to stay vertical---some styles of BCD push you face down on the surface. This can be very uncomfortable.
Sea Quest controls are very well thought out. The Diva XLT has a progressive inflator, meaning it inflates faster as you press the button harder. Controlling the inflation rate helps you fine tune your buoyancy. A Dive Alert or Sub Alert air horn can be fitted at your option. Pulling down on the inflator opens a dump valve at your shoulder. So you have one-handed buoyancy control using just your left hand leaving your right hand free for cameras and lights for instance. Another dump is fitted to your right shoulder. For head first descents there's a rear dump. Mavericks can install a SOS (surface observation signal) location tube for you, if desired...
The Diva XLT features weight integration. Simply pull on the two unmistakable grips and your weight can be dropped in an instant. You can dump all of it or just half at your option. The integrated weights help you attain better trim by moving the weights slightly higher up your body and help avoid the bruised hips sometimes caused by conventional weight belts. Two rear weight pockets accept small weights to help you control your pitch in the water. The Sea Quest Diva XLT, used properly, puts superb buoyancy control at your disposal.
For carrying your diving accessories such as reels, marker buoys and lights, the Sea Quest Diva XLT is equipped with two large pockets, each zippered for security. The left pocket has eyelets to accept a Squeeze Lock knife. Four D-rings are mounted to the jacket for clipping on the kit you want with you on the dive.
Overall, the Sea Quest Diva XLT is a fine BCD offering exceptional value for money.
- Low cost Sea Quest BCD depended on by many dive schools for its durability
- Weight integration as standard with trim weight pouches included for perfect attitude control
- Capacious pockets for carrying your diving accessories

As with any jacket style BCD, sizing is all important. Sea Quest build the Latitude in six sizes. This should mean you can have a Latitude that fits you properly---a factor in comfort, control and safety.
The Sea Quest Latitude is built around a rigid back pack. This helps to keep your tank stabilised so it cannot move around and upset your trim. For your comfort the pack is padded. The harness features adjustable shoulder straps with Sea Quest's swivelling buckles. These are a comfort feature and help to guide the shoulder straps along a natural line around your body. A large velcro closed cummerbund prevents the Latitude riding up, and a waistband overlies this. A side release buckle is fitted and can be centred or placed off to one side as you prefer. A chest strap is optional.
The Sea Quest progressive direct feed is included. A dump valve is built into the oral inflation hose, so by resting your right hand on the mouthpiece you can push the direct feed button to inflate and simply pull down on the hose to dump. A second dump, operated by a pull knob, is mounted on the opposite shoulder. A bum dump can be fitted as an extra and this then allows a Surface Observation Signal to be added.
The Sea Quest Latitude is weight integrated. Unmistakable pull handles, easily grasped with cold hands or thick gloves, make emergency jettisoning fast and positive. To help you trim your attitude in the water, the Latitude also has pockets for balancing weights in the back.
Two zipped pockets are fitted and one pocket flap is already prepared to take a Wenoka Squeeze Lock knife. Three D-rings are provided.
Overall, the Sea Quest Latitude offers a superb combination of useful and comfortable features at a budget price.
- Scored 10/10 in the Dive Magazine travel BCD shoot out
- Lightweight travel BCD for the holiday diver---weighs just 2.5kg in medium size
- Integrated weight system
- Padded back pack for comfort

The Passport uses a four-point harness to ensure the jacket is stable on the diver. Shoulder straps feature large D rings for easy tightening and the buckles have lift up thumb wells for slackening. Unambigous squeeze releases are used on both the shoulders and the waist band buckles. A wide cummerbund is fastened with Velcro. A chest strap can be added as an option. The harness is designed to let the BCD inflate away from you. This avoids the discomfort of being squeezed around the ribs when the jacket is fully inflated.
The Passport is available in six sizes. A fitting is important to ensure the jacket will have adequate flotation and will not ride up or move around by itself.
The Passport is fitted with a hard backpack, which helps to prevent the tank from sliding around, and allows Sea Quest to dispense with a secondary stabilizer strap. So it's easy to cinch your tank to the jacket using the single cam band. Sea Quest use their excellent tank traction system to ensure that any expansion in the cylinder band is automatically corrected. So your tank won't fall out as you're climbing the boat ladder.
For comfort the backpack is cushioned. A built-in mesh transport and rinse bag makes up part of the padding. It tucks up neatly into the pack until needed after your dive.

Two pockets are fitted, each with big thumb loops to make them easy to zip closed or open. A Deep Sea knife can be added as an option to the outside left pocket . Three D rings are provided for mounting accessories such as torches or reels.
One-handed buoyancy adjustment makes the Passport easy and instinctive to drive. Pulling down on the direct feed and oral inflator opens the primary dump valve mounted at the top of the inflation/deflaton hose. For headfirst situations a rear dump is also provided. This can be fitted, as an option, with the Aqua Lung Surface Observaton Signal. This long hi-viz tube is quickly deployed at the surface by pulling one D ring and then inflating your BCD. The tube then automatically fills with air, unrolls and indicates your position to your boat crew.
The Passport weighs in at just 2.4 to 2.6 kilograms depending on size, yet offers from 7 to 20 kilograms of lift. For the tropical diver who needs to travel light the Passport is an excellent choice.

The Condor is an Advanced Design Vest, which is the most popular type with single-tank recreational divers. The harness comprises a hard backplate for tank stability with a cam action cylinder band and carry handle. Adjustable shoulder straps have unambigous squeeze release buckles for quick and easy removal. A wide, adjustable cummerbund ensures the Dacor Condor stays snug and won't move around to upset your balance. A waist strap with squeeze release completes the harness.
The Dacor Condor is equipped with a compact and low-profile direct feed with cold water oral inflater. The Dacor Condor also sports three dump valves. One handed buoyancy control is easy---just rest your hand on the direct feed and press the button for inflation or pull down on the inflater to open the dump valve at the top of the jacket. A second dump valve is mounted on the right shoulder and, unusually for such a low cost BCD, a dump is already fitted to the lower back for dumping in a head down position.
For carrying accessories you'll find the Dacor Condor is provided with one zipped pocket and three D-rings.

The Dacor Talon is a high end Advanced Design styled BCD. It is fitted with a rigid back pack to help maintain tank stability and prevent it from rolling or pitching which can unbalance a diver. The shoulder straps feature oversized squeeze-to-release buckles. These are unambigous and will find favour with divers who use gloves.
A wide, adjustable cummerbund is provided with an additional waist strap, also fitted with an oversized squeeze release. A chest strap is fitted as standard--this helps prevent shoulder straps fitted to ADV type jackets slipping off your shoulders. Not all people use this---the Dacor Talon gives you the option.

The Talon is supplied with a a compact, low-profile direct feed and cold water oral inflator. It's very easy to use even if your hands are small. By resting your left hand on the inflator you can inflate by pressing a button, and you can dump simply by pulling down on the handset. Along with one-handed inflation and deflation, you can also vent through a dump on your right shoulder and, when inverted, through a dump on the lower right.key
Weight integration is a feature of the Dacor Talon. Ditchable pockets are released by squeeze buckles and pull handles. To remove your weights you need to open the squeeze release first and then pull the handles. This should ensure the weights cannot be released accidentally, by snagging wreckage for example. Trim pouches on the rear accept non-ditchable weights. These can help you improve your horizontal trim to keep you streamlined, reducing the effort needed to swim and improving your air consuption.

The Dacor Talon is well suited to advanced dives which require you carry accessories. There are two large zipped pockets and seven heavy duty metal D-rings.
The Dacor Talon is a high quality and functional BCD for the serious recreational diver at a very reasonable price.

Frink faced the problem of reaching the surface while encumbered by multiple cameras. He then needed to deploy a safety flag or tube to gain the attention of the boat. The Surface Observation Signal he invented takes out the hassle of unclipping a stowed safety tube, unfurling it, taking your second stage and inflating it and then holding the tube aloft until the boat sees it.
The Aqua Lung Surface Observation Signal mounts to the rear dump valve of current Sea Quest BCDs. It stores in a valise until you hit the surface and pull the rip cord. Fully inflating your BCD, as you normally would on reaching the surface, causes excess air to fill the Surface Observation Signal, automatically unfurling it from the valise. At 130 cm in length, the flame orange tube is easy to see. A snap hook lets you quickly clip the SOS to a D-ring and ensure the tube remains upright. After that, it's entirely hands free. You can now float comfortably while you await your pick up.
The Aqua Lung Surface Observation Signal does not interfere with your rear dump valve---you can use it as normal.
The Aqua Lung Surface Observation Signal is an elegant solution to marking your position at the surface and is extremely swift and easy to use. It also solves the perennial problem of where to stow your tube so that it remains out of the way until needed, yet is still easy to deploy.

Dive Alert puts out a signal that can be heard up to a mile away. The loudness makes it much easier to hear than a whistle, especially over the noise of boat engines. Dive Alerts are an effective method of attracting attention once you have surfaced. By prearranging coded sound signals you can also use simple signals to indicate you'd like a routine pick up or that you actually need help.
For those divers whose BCDs lack built in trim weight pouches, these weight pouches can be added to your tank band. Keep in mind they cannot be ditched. You should use these to redistribute your weights. Lead placed in your weight pouches should be subtracted from your weight belt.

The Aqua Lung Snap snorkel is purpose designed to overcome the drawbacks of carrying a snorkel on a scuba dive.
Designed to be stowed inside a BCD or other pocket until needed, this conventional J-type snorkel rolls up into its special holder. The design is perfect for divers who want to carry a snorkel for safety at the surface but don't want it to get in the way under the water.
