Equipment
Below you will find details of some of our extensive product
lines. If you don't find what you are looking for, please feel free to call,
email, or drop in as we are a fully-stocked dive shop with a central London
location.
In this section you are also able to read some generic equipment selection and usage articles, many of which were written by the Mavericks team for Dive International and Dive magazines.
We are a fully stocked dive shop, carrying equipment from
manufacturers such as
AquaLung, Dacor, Sea Quest, Bowstone, Aquatec,
Trident, Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Suunto, Del Mar, Saeko Dive
and Aquacraft. We are a specialist stockist of
freediving and spearfishing equipment, including Picasso for whom we are
sole UK agents.
We'd like to invite you to visit the store to browse our equipment range, ask for advice, see our vintage equipment mini-museum, or just chat over a cup of coffee.

Any BCD will be comfortable in the shop without a tank
attached and weights installed - but that isn't how you will actually use
it. Mavericks' Mark Koekemoer sets up a Seaquest Diva LX so our client can
try the jacket for fit and comfort as well as practicing jettisoning the
integrated weight system. At Mavericks we like to take time with you to
ensure you have the equipment that is right for your specific needs.

Mavericks' Chris McTernan discusses the book Sipadan
with Jamie and Neil from the London Aquaruim. The book is the first
publication from the Scubazoo film team. Scubazoo have made regular
presentations at our annual underwater imaging festival. Jamie Craggs, far
left, is a former Scubazoo cameraman. Mavericks is a great place to meet
other diving enthusiasts.
Hi Mark - we collected the watch from the GPO this morning (they'd tried
to deliver yesterday while we were out).
That is excellent service from yourselves and I will certainly recommend other divers to use you in the future.

Regulators
Article: A
guide for the perplexed
Regulators or demand valves are the mechanism by which we are able to breathe underwater. They use relatively simple design and engineering principles to allow us to stay safe. Clearly they need to be valued as life support equipment. This is a basic guide to how regulators actually work and offers a few guidelines on choosing your first model.

Just when you thought a weight belt was the item of equipment you didn't need to think twice about, think again. It can make or break your dive.

Article: Cutting Edge
A dive knife isn't simply a superfluous bit of shiny kit, it's a vital item of equipment you shouldn't dive without.

Dive accessories
Diving is a highly equipment dependent activity. There are lots of
accessories that can make diving safer, easier or simply more enjoyable.
This general accessory section shows you some of the Mavericks Diving
extensive range of equipment that can make a useful contribution to your
diving experience. However, please keep in mind it's just as important to
know what to leave behind or you'll end up overwhelmed by kit instead of
the diving itself.
Article: Little Extras
Too many gizmos and you might be called a dive fashion victim. But there are numerous low-cost accessories available which can save a dive, make your diving more productive, or increase your safety.
